This project demonstrates the use of the Universal Serial Bus (USB) of a computer to monitor and control home and office equipments in order to deliver quick status information, accurate timings and convenience. We explore the use of the HID and CSC USB classes for this purpose.
0Microcontroller based remote car security system utilizing DTMF tone via GSM
A car security system that allows remote demobilizing, head lamp deactivation and alarm triggering from any location through a GSM phone. DTMF tone detection and decoding is done through hardware while a microcontroller performs the necessary logic functions.
Computer interfaced digital multimeter
Voltage, current and resistance measurements can be taken with ease compared with a regular multimeter. The features of a digital multimeter are carried out by the use of the computer’s data logging and Plotting advantage. Interface with the computer is through USB. This allows for a fast connection and compatibility with most modern computers.
